contracting company specializing in renewable energy solutions including
solar installation, renewable energy consulting, and solar home inspections
in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Founder and President, Matthew Welch, is an expert in solar power installations
and founded Earth Electric with the intention of furthering the solar industry
through education, establishment of new solar power companies and providing
solar inspections for the real estate market.
Having been a licensed electrical and general contractor since 1989, Matthew gained a wealth of information on
the solar industry in general and began installing solar in 2006 and teaching solar installation at San Jose City
College in 2007 (featured here in an article from the San Jose Mercury News, Aug 7, 2008). Since then his solar
industry network has grown tremendously and his teaching resume has expanded to include contract
workshops and classes with the Solar Living Institute, CET, private and semi-private solar classes, and more.
